Nakheel is proud to continue its partnership with the Dubai World Cup, as a Pillar Partner of the Racing at Meydan season 2022-2023, the build-up to the prestigious World Cup meeting.

Nakheel sponsored a glamorous race evening, on 11 November, at the Meydan Racecourse Grandstand which is 1.5km long and seats 80,000 spectators. Guests were able to watch seven thrilling races in luxury from the Nakheel Hospitality Suite. Hanging banners, suite panels, parade ring banners, backdrops, trophies and post-race presentation packs all donned the brand new, modern Nakheel logo.

Races run weekly until March and the 20th edition of the Dubai World Cup Carnival, which brings together horses, trainers and jockeys from all over the world, gets underway on Friday, 6 January. Next, Nakheel will be sponsoring a race of the Dubai World Cup Carnival on 10 February 2023 as well as an individual group level race of the Dubai World Cup on 25 March.

Established in 2004, the 2023 Carnival will feature several new races, including the $150,000 Thunder Snow Challenge, over 2000 metres on dirt. Another addition is the $150,000 Ipi Tombe Stakes, for fillies and mares on turf over 1400 metres, which honours the Zimbabwe-bred mare who won the Dubai Duty Free tournament in 2003.
