DRIVING TRANSFORMATION THROUGH BUSINESS PROCESS RE-DESIGN
As part of Nakheel’s transformation journey to become a more efficient, streamlined and competitive business, all processes have been redesigned to a ‘future state.’
The Process Re-Design Project was one of the most collaborative initiatives led by Organizational Effectiveness, that engaged over 150 employees across nine Business Units for more than 468 design sprints to redesign 468 processes.
Process champions and cross functional teams were engaged and empowered throughout this initiative to identify and incorporate improvements to elevate Nakheel processes to the next level.
Processes for Wave 1 (Assets, Projects, Development, Commercial, Finance, NCM and Procurement and Contracts) were signed off in August. Processes for Wave 2 (Development NOCs, Marketing, Admin, Concessions, IT, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness) were signed off in December.

Process Champions have shouldered the responsibility of transferring this knowledge to their teams through knowledge transfer sessions to ensure everyone is aware of the new processes.

As part of these sessions, Organizational Effectiveness is creating awareness amongst employees about Nakheel’s Value Chain, which was designed with inputs from Senior Leadership.

After completion of all the knowledge transfer sessions, the processes will be uploaded and communicated to all employees, for accessibility and awareness.
