CYBERSECURITY: KEEPING NAKHEEL PROTECTED
The Nakheel Cybersecurity team is dedicated to safeguarding our digital assets, ensuring a secure digital infrastructure and strengthening our organisational resilience.
The Nakheel Cybersecurity Initiative is essential for an organisation of our nature and size, given the rapid evolution of technology and the ever increasing sophistication of cyberthreats. Cybersecurity is not merely a responsibility – it is a commitment to protecting Nakheel's digital assets, reputation and stakeholder trust.
Cyberthreats are dynamic, and this programme is Nakheel's proactive response to ensure digital resilience and security. Continuous education is a fundamental aspect of Nakheel's cybersecurity strategy, making this initiative an ongoing commitment.

Cybersecurity awareness programme

This initiative commenced in early 2023 to align with Nakheel's vision of continuous improvement and investment in the knowledge and skills of its employees. It comprises a multifaceted approach encompassing face-to-face sessions where cybersecurity experts share valuable insights, interactive live Q&A sessions for immediate clarification of cybersecurity queries, monthly awareness topics covering emerging threats and best practices, and extensive training modules designed to empower employees with cybersecurity expertise.

The industry leading KnowBe4 tool is being used- it is designed to equip Nakheel’s workforce with the knowledge and skills to combat evolving digital threats. To enhance accessibility, all these resources are conveniently accessible through a dedicated mobile application. As employees engage with the programme, they have the opportunity to earn badges and receive certificates upon successful completion of training modules.

Starting Q4 2023, cybersecurity has also be added as a part of the Inspire Learning Calendar.
The cybersecurity team executed a calendar filled with employee events for ‘Cybersecurity Month’ in October, with activities, initiatives, and engagement opportunities with competitions and prizes for Nakheel employees. The events offered a wealth of opportunities for learning and engagement.
