FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR INSPIRE CLUBS
Inspire sports and activities clubs are in full swing, with a packed calendar of activities, courses and tournaments, open to all. If you are interested in playing a sport, learning a new skill or connecting with like-minded colleagues, join an Inspire Club today.
Sustainable jerseys revealed for Inspire Clubs
The new jerseys for Inspire Clubs were unveiled during a special event at Nakheel Sales Office. These sustainable jerseys are made from recycled materials, in support of the UAE’s year of sustainability.
Inspire Club Champions and supporters gathered to cheer on their colleagues, share ideas and plan for future success. Representatives from the Great Place to Work organisation led the event and expressed their support and excitement for this new era of employee engagement activities at Nakheel.
The calendar of upcoming activities is a mix of CSR, corporate, sponsor, and international agendas, with the unified aim of providing a platform for our people to showcase their talents and collaborate outside of the workplace.
Inspire Clubs have organised some exciting events so far, including:
Wings for Life Run – Organised by Adventure Club
The Adventure Club was instrumental in organising Nakheel’s participation in the Wings for Life World Run - a unique and global race for runners and wheelchair participants to support spinal cord research with the goal to find a cure for spinal cord injury, often caused by traffic accidents or a fall.
Team Nakheel was one of the largest groups at the event, with more than 45 runners of all ages running on behalf of those who cannot, and cheering each other on.
Photography Club Course
Carefully curated by photography club champion Ivan Batchvarov, the photography course is delivered over seven-months and features a diverse agenda to cater to all interests and skill levels. Participants will also be awarded a certificate upon completion.
In the first session in June, participants learned basic camera controls, settings, exposure, composition techniques, camera formats and colour theory with several practical exercises and useful tips.
Upcoming sessions will feature renowned guest speakers and cover topics such as:

• Street Photography
• Landscape Photography
• Black and White Photography
• Portrait Photography
• Fashion Photography

Cricket Tournament – organised by Cricket Club
Nakheel Cricket Club team participated in the VAY Ramadan Championship hosted by Jebel Ali Shooting Club, Dubai. The team reached the finals, and won the 1st runner up title.
The team also participated in the ICCA Ramadan League 2023 reaching the quarter finals and the JMR Ramadan Cup 2023, competing in the semi-finals.
We are proud of all the players who participated in the tournaments.
